Magnaclips – Magnetic Curtain Tie Backs

Here is a video showing how to use the Magnaclip magnetic tieback clips - the sound isn't very good but it may help you to see how they work.

  • super strong magnets - stay where you put them
  • strong enough for a heavy black out drapery
  • very attractive - several colors and styles to choose from
  • easily attached and released
  • no holes in the wall
  • no installation
  • no tools required
  • made in Italy

The best thing about these clips is because they aren't permanently attached to the wall they are infinitely adjustable allowing you to play around with them to your hearts content to get the look that you want.

How to Install a Replacement Shutter Louver | Lincoln Blinds Repair

Louver repair for an interior shutter panel is really easy. After you have seen it done once, you will know exactly what to do.

This video shows the procedure for installing a new louver for your interior shutter as a replacement for one that has been scratched or broken.

Replacement of broken louver pins or missing tilt rod attachment staples are also common shutter repairs. The process shown in this demonstration will help with those repairs as well.

When he cuts out the old tilt rod attachment staple he emphasizes the importance of not losing the cut portion of the old staple. Be careful to do as he says. That's to prevent the cut off piece from flying up and hitting you in the eye or ending up lost in the carpet and eventually stabbing someone in the foot.

This video was produced by a shutter manufacturer as a guide to install a replacement kit that they provide for their customers. If your shutters came with the house or you don't know who manufactured them, you can Order Do-it-Yourself Plantation Shutter Repair Parts and Hardware from the ShutterMedic.

I use Shutter Medic parts and supplies in my repair shop and have always been very pleased with the service and quality that they provide.

Vane Savers – How To Repair Vertical Blinds | Lincoln Blinds Repair

Somehow, no one knows how, the vertical blind on the sliding door in the family room came to have several slats that are out of alignment with the rest.

Perhaps a mischievous troll came into the house late one night and messed with it.

Or it's possible that the blind was left drawn in front of the open door or window and the wind got to it.

It's also possible that the damage resulted when someone reached or walked through the blind without opening it first.

All of these scenarios are possible. Some are more likely than others.

What happened next is almost a certainty. Someone - (trying to cover their tracks?) - twisted one of the misaligned slats until it broke.

Fortunately the solution is easy and affordable. Watch this video to see what to do.
